Financial Aid

Students who are currently enrolled in a degree program at NC State have their financial need calculated based on the difference between your cost of attendance and your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The cost of attendance is calculated by the institution and includes both on-campus and Distance Education coursework.

Campus Initiated Tuition Increase (CITI) Funds - Distance Education Financial Aid

A limited amount of grant funding is available to students who are enrolled in Distance Education degree programs. Criteria for funding is based on academic merit, demonstrated financial need, and enrollment in multiple DE courses per semester.

Financial Aid for North Carolinians

The North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority, which coordinates the administration ofa number of grant, scholarship and loan programs in North Carolina, has published a booklet that will assist in the location of sources of financial aid available to North Carolina students. This booklet does not include every scholarship available, but does include most of the major programs available across the state.
