How to Apply for Online Degree Completion

Applying for Admission to the LPS Program

The application process for LPS students is similar to all other undergraduate programs on campus. However, there are some differences that reflect the LPS program’s unique positions at NCSU as the only online undergraduate degree completion program.

Leadership in the Public Sector program (LPS) is a degree completion program and designed to offer a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) to non-traditional students who do not have access to a brick and mortar college or university. In this regard, active military personnel and their families stationed in North Carolina, working adults, and community college graduates are encouraged to apply for LPS.  You are also encouraged to apply if you have been un-enrolled from NCSU for more than 3 years.  However, traditional students who are currently enrolled in a regular degree program at North Carolina State University will NOT be accepted to LPS.

Online and distance education is an important part of North Carolina State University’s program offerings and mission. However, due to recent changes in higher education regulations, North Carolina State University will no longer be able to accept applications for admission, allow registration for courses, or offer online programs and courses for students residing in Minnesota. North Carolina State University will work with state authorities to allow students in Minnesota who are currently enrolled in an NC State online degree or certificate to complete their programs.
